August 8th, 2006 Am I sick?
I woke up this morning and I was like, "man I feel really tired and my head is all stuffed up."
Went through the morning rituals of getting ready for work;
Have a cup of coffee -And of course get dressed for work -
(New York is a tough city so you gotta keep protected)
So, I'm ready to go but I'm still not feeling very good. I make the call and tell the office I'm not coming in, I'm sick.
I took a quick trip in to the city to see a doctor. Who said, what I really need is a rest and I should go home and get back in bed. Which is what I did.
Around 8:30pm I was feeling better. So much so that I thought I'd take a walk/run around the Park.
Aurora and went up to the park and did a nice and easy loop around the park. It was dark when we got to the park and I was a little apprehensive about wandering around the park.
When we got to the park, Manu Chao and Radio Bemba Sound System was playing and the place was packed. Every hipster and their babies were crowding the area, so I felt much safer about the park. That and all the policemen trying to keep the crowd under control. Park Slope couples with baby strollers can be a mean bunch.
It was a little humid and we didn't push it, but I did need to stretch the legs. The music could be heard all over the park. It was a nice little jaunt.
There's only 80 some odd days till the New York City Marathon.
